Hey Robert, great question. Pay close attention to the numbers along the left hand side of the chord diagram. You’ll notice that the Bsus spans across the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fret, while the C#m spans across the 4th, 5th, and 6th fret. They do have identical shapes, just different locations on the fret board. Same thing with the F#m and G#m.

Hey John, sorry I’m just seeing your question, as it was not in the usual “questions & struggles” thread.

Are you talking about the low E string? If so, that string should not be plucked on an upstrum. When you do the upstrum, you should only be hitting the bottom three or four strings (high E, B, G, and D), not all 6.
