The Purpose Centered Approach to Guitar Learning

"Let your purpose be your fuel that drives you, and I'll be your road map"

Jonathan Reaux began his musical journey as a music director in his local church. His original music has been aired on local radio stations and won him songwriting competitions that sent him to Nashville. Later in his journey, he focused on teaching, and created Simplified Guitar, a YouTube channel with over 230,000 subscribers. He has helped thousands of students find success playing guitar with his simplified method.

90% of those who try to learn guitar, fail
    WHY?
If all we needed to learn guitar was information, everyone who tries to learn would succeed. All the knowledge is one Google search away for everyone. The problem is, access to the right information is not enough. You also need access to the right people.
    Knowledge + Community = Success
Private lessons work, but they're not cheap
    $200/mo
Those who are serious about their success with guitar often invest in private lessons, for good reason. They do work, if you can find a good, motivating teacher that is available. But at the average cost of $50 for an hour session, that is an investment of $200/month at least.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I need to commit?
Because Acoustic Connect is customized based on your goals, how much time you commit is up to you. Even as little as 15 minutes a day is enough to reach your goals. All live events and classes are not required to be a part of the community. You can come and go as needed, and be involved as much or as little as you want.

Is Acoustic Connect for beginners or advanced players?
Acoustic Connect is a goal oriented platform, meaning it is completely customized for you and your goals. So whether you are a beginner and want to just play through your 1st song, or a more advanced player, wanting to master finger picking, you will find what you need with Acoustic Connect.

What equipment do I need to participate?
You'll need a guitar. You can use an acoustic, classical, or electric guitar. A capo also is recommended. You can check out my list of recommended equipment for beginners HERE. Also, you'll need a free Zoom account in order to participate in the live events.

Do I receive all your chord charts for free?
It is illegal for me to give away chord charts of copyrighted songs, but I have them for sale at the cheapest price allowed by the distributors. However, for those who don't want to purchase extra chord charts, I do provide a free "Public Domain Songbook" for all members of Acoustic Connect, which includes chord charts for 31 popular songs in the public domain. These songs will keep you busy for months!

    What if I'm not satisfied?
I make it my goal to ensure your success with guitar. But if for any reason, you're not seeing the progress you were hoping for, just let me know within the first 30 days of your membership and you'll receive a full refund.

One of the things I really like about Acoustic Connect is the program structure. The setting of realistic goals, working toward them and the community support is very important. Access to Jonathan through live Q&A's has been a great help. He has made himself available to answer questions via these Q&A’s and via messaging/email. This is paramount for me. I look forward to continue to move forward in my journey learning guitar.

Beyond the technical skills, the support and encouragement have made my musical journey even more rewarding. I am immensely grateful to Jonathan for bringing people together to rekindle their passion and also providing a platform for people like me to thrive in my learning journey. Acoustic Connect is proving to be just the thing I needed. The great thing about it is that members are required to commit themselves to a very definite chosen goal, commit to regular practice toward the goal, and keep a daily written record of what they have practiced. I've sent several messages to Jonathan asking advice and his responses have always been quick and useful. He also gives face-to-face advice to Acoustic Connect members through regular Q&A sessions. Thanks to Acoustic Connect, I have become more disciplined in my practice and I'm having fun!
