Was just wondering how that number is arrived at. For example Another Day in Paradise has 110 bpm.  How did you assign that number? Thanks much.

Hey James, great question. For me, that number is really relative. It’s not set in stone. I begin to play the song, and then I’ll put on a metronome to match near the speed that I play it at. When I perform, I never actually use a metronome or BPMs, however, I know for practice, it’s useful for people to know the BPM, so you can practice the song away from the computer on your own with a metronome, so you know the speed to work up to.

If you go to google and type in metronome, there’s a really useful one that pops up. You can set the BPM’s and it gives you a click. That’s the one I use.

You never fail until you quit!
