My short term goals are:
-to find a time to be consistent with practicing.
-stick to the course work during practice time.
-learn a bit of fingerstyle patterns for when my fretting fingers are sore.
-work on strumming and chord changes.

As for me, my voice leaves lots to be desired, but if Bob Dylan can sing, so can I! So no, I can’t sing like Celine Dion, but few can! Just have fun. I’m a bit shy when singing, that’s my big issue to overcome as I’ve never had to sing for anyone except in church (God has never told me to shut up either).

I am excited at age 70 to finally begin playing my guitar! I now have enough time and a strong desire to learn. I want to have fun and be able to play for my family, especially my grandkids, and church when we finally gather again.

I had my guitar Set Up by the local music shop. They put new strings on it and lowered the bridge. Lowering the bridge made a ton of difference as the strings are closer to the neck and I don’t need to press as hard.
