Hi Jane,
Nice to meet you. Cleveland shouldn’t be cold anymore. Fort Wayne, Indiana layed down a blanket of snow for us only four times this year.
My older sister played guitar when I was a kid and we would have spontaneous hootenannies. My grandmother taught my older brothers piano and I between the ages of 6 and 10 sang along, sometimes hammering a drum or blowing a flute. It was a…Read More

Hi Mari,
I like the idea of prayer devotions with the guitar! I lived in San Diego, California for 40 years. In 2008 I returned to my hometown in Indiana believe it or not. It was definitely the right move even though I miss the ocean and the other California perks. Have fun with your practice!

Hi Lois,
If you posted right away, I signed up a few days after you did. I posted later though. Once those calluses are formed, we will both find ourselves practicing a lot more than 15 minutes a day. That’s when the magic begins!

Hi everyone,
I was in USN in early 70’s. I wrote philosophical songs while at sea. It kept me sane. Then I was more interested in searching my soul with the right chord vibration than learning fundamentals of writing lyrics OR playing guitar.
Lost books of poetry, drawings, cassette recordings and journals (all at once) prompted me to change my course of thought. (Everything happens for…Read More

Thanks Jonathan,
I don’t plan on giving up. I just want to be able to ask the questions as they come up. By the way, it was my hand raised during the live session. I decided it was better to ask the question on forum then to waste anybody live time. It’s on the forum now thanks. I’m sure I will have many more questions for you as we go along.

I just signed up a few days ago.
1. Can someone tell me the best capo to use for an old worn starcaster Acoustic guitar? An Internet link would be helpful
2. My bottom String sounds the same on the first four frets. I think it’s the white plastic piece on the bridge seems to be chipped in different places. See attached image. Is there Somewhere I can Order that piece? Are they…Read More

Hi there! My name is Mari and I’m from California. I’m excited to have enrolled in this class and am looking forward to learning and practicing! I bought an acoustic guitar last summer and I’m finally taking advantage of this time to learn some chords and hopefully at least 1-2 songs. (If it isn’t clear by now, I’m a newbie!)
For almost a year, I’ve been gaining a desire to play guitar…Read More

Hello Jane,
After I retired three years ago I found Jonathan’s Simplified Guitar course. There have been so many changes in my life since then. My goal was to just be able to play and sing simple hymns to the Lord. So for the past three years I have been blessed to be able to do that.I know you will be successful too.
