									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When playing the folk pattern with a chord whose root is not the lowest note (for example F#m in the E family), which note should be played on the first beat? I&#8217;ve tried playing the lowest note, but it sounds odd, shouldn&#8217;t we rather play the root?</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I love this song, I sing it my head since I&#8217;ve heard it recently. However, I have real trouble voicing some parts of it while accompanying myself, in particular the E on the word &#8220;raise&#8221; in the chorus. I am supposed to play a D chord at the same time, and I invariably sing either a D or (probably) an F#, taking my cue from the chord I am playing.</p>
