Hey Gary, you can slow down the song by hitting the gear icon at the bottom corner, and go to “playback speed”, and choose something like 0.5 for half speed.

Hey Aida. When playing the folk pattern, you should always play the root note of the chord for beat 1 of the measure. Which will not always be the low E string. Like you said, the F#m, A2, C#m, Bsus4, and G#m in the E family, all have the A string as their root note. Only the E chord has the E string as the root note.
