Hello,
My name is Edna Steele from Cowpens, South Carolina. I was born and raised in the Philippines but moved here to South Carolina in 1985 and have lived here ever since. This is my first formal guitar lesson (just started on June 25, 2021). I am still building calluses on my fingertips and they don’t hurt as much now compared to when I first started. I am having trouble clearing the following chords (Bsus, C#m, F#m, and G#m) – I am having difficulty stretching my fingers far enough and pressing hard enough to ring the strings without the buzz. Strumming is very challenging for me. I can follow along with Jonathan during the strumming tutorial but as soon as I start singing along, I lose the rhythm. I. know with practice, I can improve. I just want to be able to sing and play Christian songs – I don’t have much of the voice quality and I have a very narrow vocal range so I do not imagine singing in the church choir but I will keep on singing in private as my form of worship to our God.
