Excited to start guitar lessons. Had a few lessons when I was a teenager but got frustrated and quit. It’s now or never lol!

Howdy everyone!
I am super excited to have signed up for this course! I’m a beginner even though I’ve been trying to play for several years. I get caught up in the weeds of finger picking, reading notes, or just technical practice like chord transitions. Hey Tucker, what strum pattern are you having trouble with? Is it the driving pattern? First off, make sure you watch the “how to practice” video in the 7 day song Challenge section. That will give you some great tips on practicing successfully, and on breaking down your practice so you can focus on a problem area, in your case, the strumming.

Hi Joe,
I’m in sunny California as well. I just want to play for my Lord in my quiet times and if He wants to use me for more that’s up to Him. I’m very busy but I have the desire to play. I’m doing what Jonathan has said in the beginning, just 15 minutes a day at the very least. Low and behold it does make a difference to be consistent, even if it is just 15 minutes.
