Thanks for sharing your story and progress, Michael! Responsibilities can make it hard to find time to practice. I encourage you with even five minutes of practice can make a difference! I am learning to make time for practice and advancing myself too. I am glad you found this course!

+I have been wanting to work on my strumming and memorizing songs! I will work on the folk pattern.
+I have been able to play more with the G and C Family Chords. I need to work on the E family chords more!
+When I don’t practice for a couple of weeks, it takes some time to build the callouses back up. Therefore, I…Read More

Nice Louis. That was a great thing to do. I recommend everyone do that at the beginning. It can make a big difference for playability.

Hey Louise! I’m so excited to have you in the course, and glad to hear that you are excited too. It sounds like you have a great plan and motivation to keep at it. Maybe you can have a specific plan to play some Christmas carols for those grandkids this year, or something like that to give yourself a goal to work towards.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your progress!

Yes Chris, unfortunately, song publishers do not allow me to give away chord charts for free for copyright reasons. Sites that do that for free are actually not doing it legally.

I am excited at age 70 to finally begin playing my guitar! I now have enough time and a strong desire to learn. I want to have fun and be able to play for my family, especially my grandkids, and church when we finally gather again.
Jonathan’s course has me so excited! His method has structure and I really benefit from structure and a plan for success, immediate success. I love be…Read More

I had my guitar Set Up by the local music shop. They put new strings on it and lowered the bridge. Lowering the bridge made a ton of difference as the strings are closer to the neck and I don’t need to press as hard.

Hey Jonathan, Keith here. I got a little distracted with life, but I am back to check if you are still offering the weekly chat sessions. I have been working on some bluegrass stuff because I wanted to get involved with some of the tricks and licks that goes on between chords. However, I miss your weekly insights. Are you still active with those?

Hey Alex, that is a great goal. Playing with others is a huge motivator to keep practicing and not give up. You can do it!
